Worlds Fairs have inspired Alexander Graham Bell, Nikola Tesla, and many others to express their brilliance. For 130 years, American cities set the standard for Worlds Fairs. Now it’s time to rebuild the world’s greatest stage in the United States, and inspire the pursuit of our best possible future.
Over 30 years have passed since the United States has hosted a Worlds Fair. Known as World Expos, these global events still occur around the world today, attracting millions of visitors. Worlds Fair USA is an independent effort to bring the international showcase of the future, featuring the world’s most amazing technology, art, and more, back to the United States.
The world’s most iconic marvels of architecture and design were introduced at Worlds Fairs.
The Worlds Fair USA fairgrounds present a new vision of the built environment, highlighting advances in architecture and engineering to redefine the bounds of sustainability. Founded on the infrastructure of tomorrow, the fairgrounds will showcase the best of what the world has to offer.
Tying together technological, architectural, and engineering advances, the fairgrounds display pavilions that capture and store energy, grow food, remediate soil, and filter water. Vertical farms and driverless trolleys embody the potentials of healthy urban infrastructure, while solar bike paths and landform structures inform visitors about environmental design. The buildings of tomorrow surpass sustainability; they actively produce. Instead of merely recognizing countries for their unique contributions, the Worlds Fair becomes a powerful system that channels the collective intelligence of international design to educate, entertain, and advance.
A public vote will help decide the location of the Worlds Fair USA fairgrounds. We've divided the country into six regions of near equal population. Sign up to be notified when voting begins.
The construction timeline sets Opening Day in approximately 6 years.
